Terms of service
Last updated 18 August 2026
These terms apply when you hire GetWebz to design, build or look after a website. They are written to be read, not to be survived. If something here is unclear, ask before you pay anything.
The work
We design and build a website to the scope you and we agree in writing before the work starts, at the flat price shown on our pricing page or in a written quote for custom work. The price covers the scope we agreed. Work you ask for outside that scope is quoted separately and never added to your bill without your written approval.
Timelines on our site are the ones we hold ourselves to: about seven days for a Starter site and about fourteen for a store, counted from the day we have your brief, your content and your first payment. Custom projects are quoted per project. If your reply, content or approval takes longer, the timeline moves by the same amount.
Revisions and approval
You get unlimited revision rounds before launch, within the scope we agreed. Nothing goes live until you approve it. Approval means you have seen the finished site and told us in writing to launch it.
Payment
Half of the one-time price is due before we start, and half when you approve the finished site. Monthly care is billed from the day the site goes live, in advance, and continues until you cancel.
The first half is what reserves your build slot and covers the design work already done, so it is not refundable once we have started. If you cancel before we start, it is refunded in full. If we cannot deliver what we agreed, we refund what you have paid for the part we did not deliver.
Monthly care
Monthly care covers hosting, backups, security updates, software patches and small content changes such as new hours, a new photo or a price update. It does not cover new pages, new features, redesigns or third-party costs such as domain renewal, paid apps or advertising. Those are quoted separately.
You can cancel monthly care at any time, effective at the end of the period you have paid for. When care ends, hosting through us ends with it: we will hand over the site files and help you move to your own hosting, and your domain stays yours throughout.
What you own
When the site is paid for in full, the finished website is yours: the design, the pages and the content we wrote for you. Your domain is registered in your name and remains yours whatever happens between us. We keep ownership of our own reusable tools, components and code libraries, which we license to you for use in your site for as long as you use it.
Fonts, photography, plugins and services from third parties stay under their own licences, which we will tell you about when they apply.
What you provide
You confirm that any logo, text, photograph or other material you send us is yours to use, or that you have permission to use it. If a third party claims otherwise, that claim is yours to answer, and you agree to cover us for costs that come out of it.
You are responsible for the lawfulness of what your website sells or says, including any licence, disclosure, tax or consumer-law obligation that applies to your business.
Showing the work
We may show the finished site as an example of our work, including screenshots and a link to it. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will not.
What we do not promise
We build websites. We do not promise particular search rankings, traffic, sales or revenue, because nobody honestly can. We do not promise that hosting or third-party services will never have an outage.
The site is provided as it is built and agreed. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything connected to the work is limited to the amount you have paid us for that work, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit or lost data.
Ending the work
Either of us can end a project in writing. If you end it, you pay for the work done up to that point and we hand over what has been produced and paid for. If we end it, we refund anything you have paid for work not yet done.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your project is the one published on the day your project starts. Material changes to monthly care terms will be told to you before they take effect.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.
